This is the first unit for our new group of vertical racks. They will all be based around a common vertical pole and will provide a family of units to carry up to 4 bikes, windsurfers, canoes, surfboards etc.

How does it work : The top of the pair of skis are put up through the top loop and the bottoms dropped back into the bottom stainless steel box. Once all the skis are in place you have the option of using the locking pins - two long stainless steel pins that slide across the top loop and make it impossible to remove the pairs of skis. The locking pins are fixed into position with a locking handwheel and plate (see lower picture). The skis can then be fixed in position with the bungee that locks off at the end with a slidetite. The locking pins don't need to be used and if you are going to and from the slopes you can get lots more skis in without. There is a storage position with the pins vertical. The bungee can still be used loosely across the loop and box to stop the skis rattling around or jumping out. For full security we advise you to add a further cable lock around the skis and tow bracket. While our system gives security against the casual thief, a determined thief with plenty of time and after valuable skis could break the system.
