A range of high quality CE winches complete with full towball mountings.

As you expect from bak-rak, the winches are innovative - the 500 and 900kg winches have an automatic brake (rated at full winch load) to ensure the winch only moves when you intend. With 'normal' cheap winches if you flick the ratchet at the wrong point the winch can run-away with dire consequences for your precious boat or caravan.

Our winches also boast a first (to our knowledge) - they can be powered by a rechargeable electric drill through the supplied adapter. This takes most of the work out of winding in or out and most of the pulling - though you will still need to revert to the handle for any full load pulling.

Complete kit includes winch, 10 Metres of cable with a quality hook and full bak-rak tow-ball mountings, drill adapter, handle and bag.

Winch-in-a-Bag has a high quality CE approved mechanical winch – either 500kg or 900kg – fitted to a patented bak-rak towball mount system. The supplied fitting allows it to be operated with your rechargeable drill. Then fit the handle for major loads. The winch has an automatic brake so runaways [cheap winch problem] are avoided. All supplied in a robust carry-bag with space for your drill.

Which one do you need? One powerful man can push up to 100kg. So we offer five, nine or eighteen strong men in a box or bag. If you need peace of mind should your caravan get stuck in a slippery field or you have a small boat then 5-men-in-a-bag the 500kg winch will work fine. If it is a big caravan or boat or you have a small 4x4 and want to play off-road the 9-men-in-a-bag – the 900kg winch will be better. If you want to off-road seriously or get your caravan or car in a ditch then the Winch-in-a box is what you need.

Winch-in-a box has a top quality fully waterproof ‘Goldfish™’ 4000lb [1800kg] electric winch with all the fitments to fit a standard car or 4X4. A remote control, long battery leads with croc-clips, tree strop and shackle and pulley to increase the pull. Also supplied is a CD explaining how to get the best from the winch. The only optional extra not already included is a fixed cable kit for your vehicle. All supplied in a strong carry-box.
